Mission Advocate

In November 2024, the Messengers of the Arkansas State Association elected Bro. Tyler
Freeman to fill the newly created role of Missions Advocate. Bro. Tyler is married to Mary
Grace and they have 1 son: James Dawson (JD).


Bro. Freeman grew up in Arkadelphia, AR, and graduated from Arkadelphia High School and
Henderson State University where he received his B.A. in Communication. While attending
Henderson, Bro. Freeman was active in the MBSF College Ministry and MBSF was instrumental
in Tyler and Mary Grace meeting for the very first time! Bro. Freeman surrendered to the
Ministry in June 2019 and enrolled at the Missionary Baptist Seminary in January 2020 to pursue
a Master's in Theology.


The following purpose statement has been established for the Mission Advocate role: To
promote and advocate on behalf of the Missionaries of the AR State Association of Missionary
Baptist Churches. This purpose is achieved through accomplishing the following 3 goals: Raise
Salary Support for our State Missionaries, Being a source of encouragement and help to our State
Missionaries, and Establishing future vision for AR State Missions.


Bro. Freeman and his family are currently traveling around the state visiting churches to promote
the work of Arkansas State Missions. If you or your church would like to have Bro. Freeman to

Bro. Freeman is sent out by Calvary Baptist Church in Sheridan, AR and his Pastor is Bro. Terry
Williams. Before serving as Missions Advocate, Bro. Freeman spent 4 and a half years as
Associate and Youth Pastor at Calvary Baptist in Sheridan.
